Waiver
PRIDEChicago relies on the goodwill and support of its volunteer service providers in a variety of areas. The following recites my agreement to the terms and conditions of my voluntary service to PRIDEChicago.
Participation Release, Waiver, and Indemnification Agreement
I hereby certify that I am agreeing to volunteer the following services (“Services”) to PRIDEChicago, and shall not seek any compensation or wages for such Services. I hereby acknowledge and agree PRIDEChicago has not required me to provide these Services; and that I am providing these Services freely without any expectation or entitlement to compensation, therefore.
I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PRIDEChicago, its agents, representatives, employees, and/or participants (collectively the “PRIDEChicago Indemnitees”) from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, lawsuits, liability, losses, and damages, including attorneys’ fees and court costs related to any property damage, property loss or theft, personal injury, death and/or other economic and non-economic loss arising from, relating to, or in any way connected with providing these Services as a volunteer in support of PRIDEChicago and all events produced by PRIDEChicago, including but not limited to the annual Chicago Pride Parade.
I also agree to waive and release any and all claims or causes of action that I may have against the PRIDEChicago Indemnitees, whether by statute or common law, and agree that this waiver and release also applies to any relatives, personal representatives, heirs, beneficiaries, next of kin or assigns who could pursue any legal action or claim on behalf of me.
I agree to be responsible for any and all acts and/or omissions on my part which may result in injury or damage to myself, and I specifically agree to hold PRIDEChicago Indemnitees free from and harmless for any and all claims, liabilities or damages arising out of any and all such acts or omissions. In event of litigation, costs or attorneys’ fees, I agree to defend and hold harmless PRIDEChicago Indemnitees from any such cost, and agree that the venue for any such litigation shall be in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois. I hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction of the State of Illinois.
This agreement is the final writing and supersedes any prior negotiations.
